Surveillance: Security, Privacy and Risk presented at RSA 2009

Summary : Free societies face thorny questions when considering the tension between individual privacy rights and the collective “right” to security. There is a strong desire to use surveillance to scrutinize communications of would-be terrorists; but individual privacy of innocents using the same communications network should be preserved, and system integrity must not be jeopardized. This panel will discuss these issues.
