Bridging political gaps with code presented at hacklu 2016

by Okhin ,

Summary : One of the main mission of La Qaudrature du Net, as a NGO fighting for human right sin the digital spheres, is to develop engagement of people to pressure political bodies such as national or european parliaments.
To achieve this goal, LQDN has developped over the year a toolbox to help document the political process, to help keeping tabs on representatives through their all career, and to mobilize citizens to take actions and to reestablish dialog with these representatives.
I will discuss how this process has been going into LQDN actions and how the dynamics between code, developers and users (both internal and external) are at the core of this process.
From paying technical debt, to volunteer management, from ideological to technical points of view, let’s talk about how code can be political.
