by John Matherly,

Summary : Shodan has been around for a few years and is widely used across the security community. Over the past 4 years it has grown from a small hobby project into a full-fledged search engine to find Internet-connected devices. In this talk you will get an inside look at what it takes to run Shodan, especially in terms of the non-technical aspects. The talk will also be discussing some novel research that was done using Shodan such as honeypot detection, tracking of Internet scanners and overexposed NoSQL.
