Strengthen the Weakest Link – Integrating PCN and IT Cybersecurity presented at CISOHouston 2015

by Mohit Chanana, Mark Eckert, Richard Byrd,

Summary : Oil and gas firms face unique cybersecurity challenges that impact both safety and security. According to a recent Ponemon survey, more than 80 percent of energy companies report an increase in the severity and frequency of cyberattacks. Furthermore, they face dual threats to enterprise IT and process control networks. For example, IT systems house extremely valuable IP such as exploration data, while PCNs must mitigate critical operational and safety risks. Because PCNs are often the weakest link in cybersecurity infrastructure, energy companies are sprinting to fill in the gaps while integrating their overall approach to IT and OT cybersecurity.
Executive boardrooms are intimate and interactive sessions designed to foster dynamic dialogue around a specific, strategic topic.
