Reducing Your Attack Surface – An Identity Management Perspective presented at CISOminneapolis 2016

by Barry Caplin, Michael l. Kearn, Ron Kuriscak,

Summary : The significant increase in the use of distributed applications running in the enterprise — in the cloud and on mobile devices — has expanded the enterprise’s attack surface. Without appropriate planning, the identity services associated with these applications can become part of the problem rather than part of the solution. As CISOs look to protect their organization and end users from attacks, they must manage authentication, authorization and access policies to reduce overall risk. This boardroom will discuss a modern approach to identity infrastructure that embraces identity standards at its core and offers CISOs a simple, modular and scalable blueprint for success.
Executive boardrooms are intimate and interactive sessions designed to foster dynamic dialogue around a specific, strategic topic. These private, closed-door discussions encourage attendee participation and are limited to 15 attendees (seating priority is given to CISOs).
