Keynote: Developing the National Cyber Incident Response Plan presented at ThreatIntelligence 2016

Summary : The Department of Homeland Security is working with the private sector, federal departments and agencies, and state and local governments to develop the National Cyber Incident Response Plan (NCIRP), which describe the coordination architecture for a “whole of nation” response to cyber incidents, which will include a description of the roles and responsibilities of the major players during an incident, the capabilities that will enable incident response, and the coordination process that will seek to allow the nation to establish and achieve shared objectives to mitigate, respond to, and recover from cyber incidents affecting critical infrastructure. This talk will describe the NCIRP and provide details on its implementation.
