New threats and a ‘New Normal': rapid adoption of secure mobile working under COVID-19 presented at CyberSecurityHub 2020

Summary : The outbreak of COVID-19 and ensuing national lockdowns forced many organizations to rapidly accelerate the adoption of secure remote working. In many cases this meant using ‘any device’ to hand in the scramble to keep the business moving (BYOD). Attackers also moved quickly, with a variety of new threats emerging, with phishing being the #1 threat, all aiming to take advantage of the fear, confusion and hunger for information caused by COVID-19.In this session we will:· expose the threats related to COVID-19 and what the Lookout researchers have discovered· discuss the challenges for a rapid enablement of remote workforce for business productivity and continuity · present the solutions adopted by Lookout and its customers in order to quickly adapt to the ‘new normal’
